PDF details

What type of pdf download will I get with a Print at Home purchase?

When you purchase a Print at Home card, your download will include a high resolution PDF file. When you purchase a Print Anywhere design, your download will include both a high resolution PDF file and high resolution JPG image.

Both of these file types are high resolution – 300 dpi.  This will provide excellent print quality for any type of printing needs.

The pdf size will vary based on what type of design you order.

If you created a postcard design, your PDF will be two pages – the front and back of the postcard.  The size of each page of the PDF will correspond to the size of card that you ordered.  For example, if you order a 4 x 6 postcard, the PDF pages will be 4 x 6.  This makes it easy to print on 4 x 6 size paper or cardstock.  You can also easily print your postcard on larger size paper and cut it down to size.

With a Print Anywhere purchase, you will also recieve two JPG images- one for the front of the postcard and one for the back.  These can be used to print your card the same way you print any other photos on your computer.

If you created a folded card design, the PDF will be 2 pages and the JPG will be 2 images.  The front and back of the card will be on one page, and the inside of the card will be on the other.  This makes it easy to print on standard 8.5 x 11 inch paper or cardstock.  Simply print one page of the pdf on one side of the piece of paper, and then print the other page of the pdf on the backside of the paper.  Once it is printed, trim the paper to size and fold the paper in half.
