Are you recently engaged and looking for a unique way to announce your engagement with your engagement photos? Here are some fun ideas to try with your spouse-to-be and a willing photographer! #1 rule is to have fun with the photos and you’ll love the way they’ll turn out.
1. Take your photos at your favorite restaurant. Sitting at the bar, sharing spaghetti, glancing at each other in the candle light, sharing a malt, etc.
2. Wear bright, interesting shoes. Find bright, bold colors that will add a twist to your photos. If both of you find a funky pair, a candid shoe shot would be cute to add to your photo collection.
3. Kid’s face painting. Find some face paints and take candid pics of painting romantic hearts and flowers on each others cheeks!
4. Where you first met. Think of where you first met your soon-to-be husband or wife. Was it at your high school? A ball park? A hip, uptown bar? In your neighborhood? It creates a fun memory for you two and a unique photo opportunity that will give you something to treasure forever!
5. Doing a hobby you share. Doing pottery together, playing poker, gardening, racquetball, cooking, etc. Makes a really fun photo op!
6. Shopping at a farmer’s market. Think of all the bright colors of fresh produce and items around you!
7. Sporting your favorite sport’s team apparel. Put on your sport’s team jersey and apparel for a unique photo set-up! This could also be really cute if you have rival favorites! (i.e.the girl loves the Yankees, the guy love the Mets – or would they even be engaged? LOL.)
