Disney characters are classic theme choices for birthday party invitations for kids.  Everyone loves Mickey, but where would he be without Minnie Mouse?  A true favorite for kids of all ages, Minnie Mouse is a great character to build a birthday party around. You can either keep it all about Minnie or bring in other favorite characters to add fun to the Minnie Mouse party.

Minnie Mouse Party Invitation:

Use heavy black card stock and cut it out in shape of a pair of Minnie Mouse ears.  Cut out white circles and glue on to the Minnie Mouse ears.  Write all of your party details on the ears and make a large hole punch at the top of the ears.  Use red and white polka dot ribbon to place through the holes and tie the ends together.  You can either hand-deliver or send in over-sized envelopes.  Ask your guests to wear the Minnie Mouse ribbon to the party.

Minnie Mouse Party Decorations:

Attach a large red and white bow to your mailbox and tie off red and white balloons there as well.

Cut out mouse footprints leading up to the party’s front door with signs along the way: “No Cats Please” and  “More Cheese Please.”

Place red and white circle confetti across the party table.  If they are large enough, place thin markers on the table and have the kids color on the circles as well.

Hang small cheese wheels made out of heavy yellow card stock from the ceiling over the party table.

Large fake flowers placed in your yard or flowerbeds would make a fantastic Minnie Mouse accent pieces too.

Balloons, streamers, and colorful tulle placed around the party walls and hanging from the ceiling would add to Minnie Mouse party delight.

Minnie Mouse Party Activities:

When the guests arrive, have them put their ribbons in their hair.  Have a face painter on hand to paint the kids’ faces with Minnie Mouse faces with the whiskers, nose, and more.

For a craft, create Minnie Mouse bracelets with red and white beads.  The kids can wear these during the party and take them home too.

Play Minnie Says

Play Pin the Nose on Minnie

Say Cheese! Have an adult helper take pictures of the kids doing all things silly wearing their ears and bows with their faces painted.  These pictures will be a great addition to your thank you notes!

Minnie Mouse Party Menu:

Serve all things cheese to your little Minnie Mice!  Cheese ears on crackers, grilled cheese, cheese puffs and curls, Macaroni & Cheese, and even cheese fondue with veggies, fruit, and bread.

Make up a batch of Rice Krispie treats and cut out with a cookie cutter in the shape of Mouse ears and place onto sticks.  Place colorful Saran Wrap around the treats and a red and white ribbon around the stick.  A great treat to serve at your party or to send home as a party goody.

Serve up a batch of cupcakes frosted with white icing and decorate with Minnie Mouse polka dots.  You can make these up before or have the kids decorate the cupcakes as an additional party activity.

Minnie Mouse Party Favors:

The guests can take home their Minnie Mouse bead bracelets and/or bows with them as they depart.  In addition, the Minnie Mouse Krispie treats would be an additional treat.
