What makes summer fun for kids?  Often simple things like blowing bubbles is not only a fun afternoon activity, but a toy that you can build a simple party around, especially for a small child’s second or third birthday party.  A bubble party is also a great theme for summer, but may not be ideal for an indoor party during colder months for obvious reasons.

Send a Bubble Art Invitation: Experiment with some different bubble solutions, then print out your invitations and blow various colored bubbles right onto the paper. They will land and pop on the invite, and then it will be a work of bubble art.

Have a bubble machine blowing large bubbles at the front entrance of your house that the guests enter through. This will kick off your bubble theme nicely.

Give parents and other adults at the party different bubble wands and bubbles. Count to three and begin a chorus of bubbles.

Designate someone to be the Bubble Magician, and have him or her do tricks with the bubble wands. One trick would be blowing a very large bubble that does not pop. Party stores often have fancy jars of bubbles that include various tricks you can do at your party. Put on a little show.

Fill a small plastic swimming pool with water and bubble solution, and let the children have fun making their own bubble creations.

Bring the kids inside for cake, provide them with cupcakes, and have them top the cupcakes with sprinkles and round gummies that look like bubbles. Then they can eat their creations.

Buy inexpensive, pretty jars and fill them with bubble solution. Hand the jars out as a goody item to take away!

Have a load of bubbly fun!
