Coming up with new and interesting baby shower games can be a challenge. A challenge, but not impossible! If you are preparing to send out baby shower invitations, we have some of the best baby shower games for you to incorporate into your party.
My Water Broke! Freeze plastic babies in ice cube trays give each guest an ice cube and they have to melt it using only their body. The first person to melt the ice cube wins.
Who Am I? Print out pictures or just write the name of celebrity moms and tape one to the back of each guest. Each person can try to figure out who they are by asking yes or no questions.
Guess that Ad– Collect a variety of tag lines for baby and pregnancy related items. Read them off one by one and have guests write down the product that corresponds with the tag line. You can also cutout ads from magazines and adhere them to construction paper to show guests while reading the tag line. Be sure to cut out any identifying insignia! The person with the most correct answers wins.
Newspaper Brassiere- Divide guests into team and give them newspaper, scissors and tape. Instruct them to create a nursing bra. The guest of honor gets to choose the winning bra. Bras should be modeled for the mom to be for the full affect.
Baby Relay- If you have had a baby, you know how hard it is to get out of the house so why not have a relay race to see how the guests do. Divide the guests into teams and set up stations. Have one station for getting mom ready – include a dress, headband, shoes, and lip gloss (a new mom can dream, right?). Then that person has to run to the diaper bag station to tag in the next teammate. Have all the things you might need to put in your diaper bag out and the person must nicely fill the diaper bag with diapers, wipes, diaper cream, burp cloths, change of clothes etc. Then the next station is getting the baby ready. Have baby doll ready to diaper, dress and put in the stroller or wearable pack. The team to complete this relay with everything on and intact wins!
Mad Libs– Pre-write a story about mom and the baby leaving out nouns, adjectives, and verbs, to be filled in by guests.
Remember, always tailor your baby shower games to the mom to be. It’s about keeping her happy and comfortable!
