When you set the Thanksgiving table this year, let Mother Nature help. These inspirations are from Sunset and Martha Stewart . Fruit, leaves, herbs and even a Gum Tree Spur can create a very simple and special natural look for each place setting at your table.
Here are some tips on how to make the look work:
- Make sure to select fruit with long stems for tying on place cards.
- If you’re using items from the great outdoors, wipe them clean before placing them on the plate or table.
- When using earth tones like those pictured above, go with a white or cream colored plate. It will make the color in your featured item pop.
- If you’re going to try this look, make sure to keep the plates, napkins, tablecloth or placemat simple. If these are too ornate it will overpower the simple look you are trying to accomplish.
