Looking for a way to enjoy sushi without having to eat raw fish? As much as I happen to enjoy sushi in the traditional sense, this is just about the cutest thing to happen to the Japanese delicacy. Next time you are sending kids birthday party invitations, consider serving this yummy treat at the party or even take a cue from this creative mommy and incorporate it as the party craft and the party favor! The ingredients are simple and easy to find. The best part is that you can do a little snacking while you construct these tasty little treats.
You’ll need to brush of your Rice Krispie treats recipe and find plenty of fruit roll ups, Swedish fish, gummy worms or any other jelly candy you think might be fun to decorate the sushi with. Accents like candied orange or lemon slices are also really cute. The fruit rollups act as the seaweed wrap. The preparation is easy and the kids can do most of the work. (They’ll need a little adult supervision with the knife wielding portion of the project.) Enjoy this tasty treat!
