It’s Halloween time and as you prepare your Halloween party invitations, you may be looking for some tasty Halloween recipes for kids. We’ve found a few that we think will be a hit with all your ghost and goblins.
Peanut butter apples. A healthier spin on the traditional caramel apple. Insert craft sticks into the bottom of your apple. Get your favorite type of peanut butter. Soften in the microwave for just a few seconds. Spread on the apple. Roll your apple in fun, healthy toppings like granola, chopped nuts, or small pieces of dried fruit.
Buggy Cupcakes. Frost your favorite flavor of cupcakes with green or orange frosting. Decorate with mini chocolate chips to create spider shapes or add in mini gummy bugs and worms to make it look like they are crawling on top of the cupcake. Crumbled graham crackers or oreos make excellent an ”dirt” topping.
Little Mummies. Wrap little hot dogs or sausages in refrigerated crescent dough. Cut the dough into thin strips and wrap each piece of meat mummy style. Leave a small gap at the top and accent with a gel frosting face.
Gory Dippers. Baby carrots, snap peas, and celery can all serve as severed fingers perfect to dip in blood (salsa) or monster goo (guacamole). Label them as gross as you can!
Pretzel Fingers. Take long rod pretzels and dip them in white, milk, or dark chocolate. decorate the ends with green, red or orange gel frosting in the shape of finger nails, or re-dip tips of pretzels in colored white chocolate.
Peanut Butter Chocolate Spiders. Take peanut butter cups and add 4 red or black pieces licorice whips for bony legs to each side. Use red hots for eyes.
Happy Halloween!
