Looking for a theme for your party invitations?  A Twilight theme is one that can be enjoyed by adults too. Although some of us may be embarrassed to admit it, we love Twilight (“we” includes anyone over 17).  Whether you’re for team Edward or team Jacob, a Twilight theme party can be decadent and delicious.  You can easily put together a stylish Twilight theme party that caters to grown-up appreciation of the vampire scene.

Food:  Serve little “bites” of things.

  • Red apple slices with caramel dip
  • Red velvet cupcakes
  • Black and red licorice bites
  • Mushroom ravioli bites (Bella ordered mushroom ravioli when out to dinner with Edward).  You can just plate the ravioli’s with toothpicks in them.  Serve marinara dipping sauce as well.
  • Create a decadent dip. Take cream cheese and mix withRoasted Raspberry Chipotle Sauce.  Serve with crackers.
  • Chocolate dipped strawberries
  • Dried tart cherries

Drinks: Anything red will have a good, dramatic effect.  Offer:

  • Red wine
  • Bloody mary’s
  • Cranberry pomegranate martinis
  • Non-alcoholic drinks could include, cranberry juice, water colored red, or shirley temples.

Decor:  The darker, and more mysterious atmosphere you can create the better.

  • Drape the tables in black (tulle or table clothes) and use lots of candle light.
  • Get clear vases and candle holders.  Float candles on red colored water.
  • Place red candles that drip in black or silver candle holders.  A candelabra filled with red candles would be a beautiful centerpiece.
  • Fill large, clear, cylinder vase with red apples.
  • You could also scatter these 20 Carat Clear Acrylic Diamonds since vampires shimmer like diamonds in the light.

Music: Play some romantic Debussey, Edward’s favorite or play The New Moon Soundtrack.

Party Favors: Fill black organza bags with red candy (hearts, licorice, anything you like), red or shimmery lip gloss, red nail polish – really anything red and sparkly would be fun to give away to guests.

You can make this party into a Twilight movie marathon and watch both the Twilight and New Moon.  Enjoy your Twilight theme party.  Sit back, relax and snuggle up to the vampire or werewolf you love best.
