Sizzling BBQ Invitations

Memorial Day weekend officially denotes the beginning of summer. And summertime means bbq season is here! Whether it’s planned or spur of the moment, there’s always a reason to barbecue in the summer. Our design team has been busy creating BBQ party invitations that capture all the elements the BBQ season has to offer. These sizzling bbq invitations are a fantastic way to invite friends and family to your cookout. Erin from our design team shares some of her new bbq invitation designs.

1. Red Orange and Yellow Blocks

This red, orange and yellow blocks bbq invite is perfect for your next backyard bbq. With Modern blocks of bright summer colors, and a retro texture overlaid, this card is decorated with summery graphics of a hamburger, hot dog, and grilling utensils. Stylized with a brown banner coming in from the right hand side, we use a western type to make cookout stand out among the other information. It is best to list your information in a hierarchy so your guests will see which is the most important information being portrayed on the invitation. Use a subtle matching brown box along thing bottom to list all your other party details. To finish off your invitation, design the back with a matching color or texture that is in your invitation.

2. Modern Brown and Red Pig Roast BBQ Invite

Impress your guests with this brown and red pig roast invitation. With a simple and modern look to it, this card is designed on a solid white background, which makes all text and embellishments really pop. Using modern type brackets to encase all information, this invite is based heavily on typography for the design aspect. When trying to achieve this style of design, its great to have a few fonts in mind that you want to use interchangeable. It is always great to have one that stands out among the rest; in this case pig roast is in a stylish western font. The other two fonts are simple, but have a look about them that just tie into the whole aesthetic of the card. Doing everything in CAP LOCKS is another way to make everything look similar in size, and don’t be afraid to play with the font and orientation of it (e.g. the information to the right of the pig). For a finishing touch, the red pig is added, brightening up the design.

3. Antique Western BBQ Invite

A vintage style invitation is a great way to change up your event for a more elegant and formal look. With a soft yellow textured background everything on the invitation will really stand out. The design is also enhanced by using a simple rounded frame, the stylized typography, and elegant flourishes. The black flourishes of a leaf seal, western type, modern arrows, and swirls break up the information in a stylish and easy to read format for your guests. With hints of blue, this design also has a monogram and a bbq silhouette inside as the focal point at the top of the invitation. The fonts vary in style, which also makes this vintage invitation very trendy.

4. Red and White Banner and Grill Tools BBQ Invite

It’s that time of year again, when the grills get dusted off, and the back deck gets swept. Invite all your friends and family over for a backyard BBQ with this red, white banner with grill tools invitation. Using our unique circle shaped card, you can add a family photo for your guests to see. Just easily drag and drop your photo into this design and resize it appropriately. Customize it with your family name inside of the elegant banner, with grilling tools crisscrossed behind. A red gingham pattern is used on both sides of the card to give you that picnic feel, and you can put all your bbq information on the reverse side of the card utilizing all the space.

5. Brown and Western BBQ Invite

Show off your countryside with this brown western bbq invitation. This simple yet rustic invitation has a deep brown background with a white wood grain overlaid to give you an outdoor feeling. The word barbecue looks like it’s been branded on the invitation and the design is embellished with grilling tools and a stand up white silhouette BBQ. Using two different typefaces also helps break up all the information in a stylish way. This invitation is very simple and clean, so keeping your invitations free of clutter and limit text to just the necessities your guests will need to know about your event. If you have more information or directions you would like to include, use the backside of your invitation in order to maintain the clean and rustic look that the front of the card posses.

Happy grilling!
