Festive fun frivolity! That is what holiday parties are all about! If you are planning a kitschy holiday party this year, our 2011 Holiday collection includes several fun holiday party invitations for you to personalize. Secret Santa, Ugly Sweater, and of course White Elephant Gift Exchange, are just a few of our light-hearted holiday party invitation themes. Erin from our design team highlights a few fun holiday party invitations and notes the inspiration for some of this fun designs.
1. White Elephant Gift Exchange Party Invitation
We all know from experience, white elephant gift exchanges are silly and usually non-sense, but the occasional party will have a fancier touch to it. This design channels a trendy yet sophisticated feel with the use of fun dots, and elegant linen while keeping a light-hearted fun undertone. Using a folded card, allows for more room for information and the overall design. So keep that in mind when you are choosing a template, you can always change the orientation to fit your party needs.
2. White Elephant Holiday Party Invite
Another great white elephant invitation; this white elephant invitation is inspired after the fun nature of the event itself. Using a bright festive color, instead of traditional red and green is a great way to mix up your invitation. This invite has three different fonts intermixed throughout, which is a great trick to separate information for your guests. Keeping them in a simple black form against the pink is a great way to make it easily readable for all yours guests. Utilizing the inside of the elephant is a great place to put your information if you want it to all be on the front. Make sure its not overcrowded and the font is still at a readable size. Adding a pop of color or adding a different font into it is a great way to spice up plain information. Adding a linen texture to the background just tops off the overall look of the invitation.
3. Top Secret Santa Red Party Invitation
This Secret Santa invitation puts the PurpleTrail design center to the test. Using a mail inspired letter for the overall design, there are many tricks you can use to get the perfect mail looking invitation. Using a white texture to overlay your text box is a great way to get a stamp look to your card. Make sure you match your texture color to the background, or otherwise it won’t have the same appeal. You can also carry that look to the inside, calling out a headline in your information. We offer a stamp shape in the design center, which is perfect to add into the corner, while adding an appropriate embellishment to top it off. The overall look is simple, clean, and festive with the red and green spirit. A great finishing touch is to add the year to the back of the invitation, so you won’t forget that special secret Santa year.
4. Ugly Sweater Office Holiday Party Invitation
The tradition of ugly sweater parties is a rising event among many Christmas fanatics. Every year, we dig out our parents hideous sweaters and have a ball. Why not have the perfect invitation to match! Here we have a sweater texture along the bottom to add just enough embellishment to the overall design. The type is very uniform and simple, with just two fonts intermixed throughout the design. The color choice for text is picked from the embellishment, which is a great trick to keep in mind, when using your color picker. You can easily customize your information into this fun-hearted holiday design for your party.
5. Ugly Sweater Trio Invite
Another member of the ugly sweater party invites, this particular invitation is inspired after my own mother’s collection of Christmas sweaters. All handmade sweaters, it’s a great way to kick off an eventful party. The overall look of this invitation is modern, using simple and clean fonts, and a thick red border to really make the invitation pop. While flipping it over, the backside is simple using a basic white font, and carrying over the dark blue from the front side. Keeping your invitation uniform is a great way to get a great looking card all your guests will be raving about.
6. Snow Covered Blue Holiday Party Invitation
Holidays are about spending it with love ones, whether it be friends or family. A tradition many still do today is host holiday block parties. Here we have a modern, snow covered invitation. It’s bold and makes a statement to all your guests. Using a navy background, white and red as an accent, really gives this invitation a winter wonderland look. Using a snowy, edgy frame adds just enough winterizing to your invitation, while keeping its modern appeal.
We wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Cheers to your festive and fun holiday party!
